LaMantia is running to represent Texas State Senate District 27 in 2022. LaMantia raised $695,670 and spent $3.9 million between Jan. 1, 2021, and June 30, 2022. According to Texas Ethics Commission reports, the following individual donors and PACs gave the most money to LaMantia.

Now that lawmakers have convened in Austin, private citizens and PACs are no longer able to make political contributions, so the sole financial influence on lawmakers during the legislative session comes from lobbyists. For the 2020 election cycle (2019 – 2020), more than $109 million in taxpayer dollars was being spent to lobby Austin politicians.
