In Texas, state-level candidates and PACs have spent $2.1 million from their campaign accounts on services from the United States Postal Service in the 2022 election cycle so far. USPS received 0.4 percent of all $558.2 million in reported expenditures. 

Less than one year into a new administration, speculation is already in full swing for the 2024 presidential election. While no politician seems to have escaped the rumor mill, political spectators have honed in on two prominent state leaders who may be positioning themselves for a spot on the Republican ticket.   

On Monday, approximately 58 members of the Texas House of Representatives boarded private planes in Austin and flew to Washington, D.C. to avoid voting on an election integrity bill.
